Everyone knows that the Ronald McDonald houses provide lodging for the families of sick children, but how many people know that there is similar charitable housing for the families of wounded service men and women? It’s The Fisher House. During the entire month of July, Dr. Christine Krsko and Dr. Mandy Wolf Pearce will be providing new patient services in exchange for a minimum donation of $17.76 to be given to The Fisher House. The Fisher House Foundation donates “comfort homes” on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. Families of wounded soldiers are able to stay at these homes so they may be close to their loved ones while they heal from their wounds sustained at war. These soldiers respond to their treatment much better when they have the moral support of their families near them. The Fisher House also helps to take away the financial worry of housing the family during this trying time. During July, all new patients you refer to Krsko Chiropractic will receive a consultation, orthopedic/neurological exam, and x-rays of one area if needed with a minimum donation of $17.76 to The Fisher House.
On Thursday, July 30, the office is offering all treatments to established patients in exchange for a minimum donation of $17.76. We are very excited to make a great contribution to The Fisher House. We learned about this organization from one of our patients who is familiar with their services. He knows first hand that they do so much for our soldiers and their families in times of need. Our clinic is going to match the donations they receive dollar for dollar. Last year we were able to donate over $2772 and this year we hope to at least double that to show our soldiers and their families that we so deeply appreciate their sacrifices.” To learn more about the Fisher House, visit www.fisherhouse.org
